Prof. Vexler’s (b ) research area is the numerical analysis of problems described with partial differential equations (PDEs). The focus of this work is on developing and analyzing efficient numerical algorithms to solve optimization problems with PDEs. Prof. Vexler studied at Lomonosov University in Moscow and the University of Heidelberg.

Prof. Vexler (*1977) forscht auf dem Gebiet der numerischen Behandlung von Problemen, die durch partielle Differentialgleichungen (PDEs) beschrieben werden. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Entwicklung und Analyse effizienter numerischer Algorithmen zur Lösung von Optimierungsproblemen mit PDEs.

We study first-order necessary optimality conditions and finite element error estimates for a class of distributed parabolic optimal control problems with pointwise state constraints.
