Böbrach/Auerkiel. Im gesegneten Alter von 89 Jahren gestorben ist Hella Wittmann aus Auerkiel. Auf dem Friedhof in Böbrach wurde sie zu Grabe getragen. In seiner Predigt beim Trauergottesdienst in der Pfarrkirche zeichnete Pfarrer Alexander Kohl den Lebensweg von Hella Wittmann nach, die als Rosa Helene Dimpfl in Rinchnach geboren wurde.

„Es ist sehr wichtig, diese Ergebnisse in dynamische Modelle der Gebirgsbildung zu integrieren“, sagt die GFZ-Wissenschaftlerin Hella Wittmann, Ko-Autorin der Veröffentlichung in der kommenden Ausgabe der Fachzeitschrift „Earth and Planetary Science Letters“.
